Die Hart originally premiered on Quibi, a mobile streaming platform that unfortunately did not last long. The show features Kevin Hart portraying a fictionalized version of himself who is determined to become an action star at any cost.

The first season, consisting of 10 episodes, was developed by Tripper Clancy and Derek Kolstad, known for their work on movies like “Stuber” and “John Wick” respectively. The talented cast includes John Travolta, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jean Reno, and even Josh Hartnett playing himself.

After Quibi’s closure in December 2020, Roku acquired the entire content library in January 2021 for a sum just under $100 million.
