While appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the singer discussed what fans can expect from her upcoming tour, starting on June 26 at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. She mentioned that her goal during performances has always been to give her fans a thrilling and unforgettable show.
She reflected on her albums and revealed that she hadn’t planned on creating a ‘Now’ when she released ‘Then.’ However, looking back now, she feels like it was all meant to be, especially since both albums are dedicated to her husband, Ben. Recalling the moment she decided to name the album This Is Me… Then, she shared that it captured a time in her life when she fell in love in a profound way and wrote the entire album based on that experience.
She expressed her belief that sometimes in life, things happen for a reason, even if we don’t realize it at the time. And now, 20 years later, she finds herself in a romantic reunion with Affleck, showing that fate has a way of bringing things full circle.
“I wanted to hop on here and express my deep gratitude and love for all of you,” she started. “Today is the day we’ve all been waiting for, and I appreciate your patience more than words can say.”
On Friday, her new album was released along with a musical movie, featuring six unique and alluring covers for her records. After a decade, she decided to create her ninth solo studio album because she felt a renewed sense of inspiration, much like she did when starting out.
Lopez also shared that when she released her album This Is Me… Then in 2002, she had no idea she would be returning to make another record over ten years later. She explained that the decision to create her latest album, her ninth studio album and first solo release in a decade, came from feeling ‘inspired’ once again.
During a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, the Hustlers star opened up about the end of her relationship with Ben in 2003. She revealed that their first wedding was called off in September 2003, and although they didn’t break up right away, they eventually split in January 2004.
Reflecting on their reunion and marriage in 2022, JLo admitted that she always knew she wanted to be with him forever. However, at the time of their initial breakup, there were doubts about the future of their relationship that led to fear and uncertainty.
