She honestly stated, “I am not concerned about the outcome anymore. This is the ultimate form of praise I could receive.”
The movie boasts a star-studded cast including Jane Fonda, Sofia Vergara, and Neil deGrasse Tyson, and incorporates supernatural aspects like a ‘Zodiac love council’ that analyzes her romantic vulnerabilities.
This unconventional project raised concerns among her close circle, who urged her not to proceed with the film, deeming it a poor decision. However, JLo disregarded their advice and pursued it regardless.
It also caused discomfort for her long-time producing partner Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas.
In a late-night conversation, Lopez informed Elaine that she would contribute $20 million of her personal funds towards financing the movie.
JLo’s colleagues were surprised by her unexpected vision.

After the movie was completed, Amazon acquired the film for an undisclosed amount.
One notable figure who decided not to participate in the film was Khloe Kardashian. Jennifer invited Khloe to take part, but the reality star declined the opportunity.
“People are hesitant to expose themselves like that,” JLo conveyed in the documentary. “I understand the fear. It took me a long time to overcome it. I am fearful too. However, I don’t let it show—I believe that’s the secret to my entire career.”
Jane Fonda, who starred alongside Jennifer in Monster-in-Law, initially had reservations about appearing in the film as well.
In the documentary, Fonda, who eventually portrays a member of the Zodiac council, tells Jennifer, “I want you to know that I can’t quite explain why, but I feel invested in you and Ben, and I genuinely want this to succeed.”

Jennifer responds with a laugh, saying, “That’s just us living our life.”
Elaine is still nervous about the film’s release, but now she understands why the songstress felt compelled to create it.
“I was worried that she would be telling her story in a way that would make it seem like she was going from one relationship with Ben to another,” Elaine explains. “But that’s not what it’s about. It’s about reflecting on the past 20 years and realizing that she kept encountering the same obstacles until she took a look at herself.”
Jennifer is prepared for the mixed reactions the film will receive. “I think when you release any project, you reach a point in your life where you’re not doing it for everyone to have a positive opinion,” she says. “But I do believe this is a beautiful project. The message is powerful and true. It’s a genuine piece of art, and I am incredibly proud of it.”
