During the season premiere of The Masked Singer on Fox, Kevin Hart surprised everyone by revealing himself as the contestant dressed as Book. The 44-year-old comedian had a unique costume with a mustache, bookworm, and books for feet.
In his clues, Book mentioned having a trouble-making brother, holding a detective’s badge, performing at open mic nights, and making over ‘four billion dollars’ at the box office. He also hinted at having a mission to prank a special friend.
Book’s performance of So Sick by Ne-Yo had panelist Robin Thicke laughing as soon as he started singing.

Nick commented that Kevin looked ridiculous, but Kevin, still wearing his book shoes, insisted he didn’t look silly.
“There’s nothing foolish about me,” Kevin declared confidently.
Nick expressed that the recent show was the most dreadful performance in its entire history.
The beginning of the new season introduced Rita Ora as a fresh face on the panel, with Nick immediately calling her out for ruining the show. The banter continued as Kevin playfully pranked Nick during a song performance, leading to a lighthearted exchange between the two brothers.
After Rita kicked off the premiere with a powerful performance of The Who’s “Who Are You,” she unmasked herself and shared a warm hug with the other panelists. The first contestant, Goldfish, rocked a unique look with a pink mohawk and a bedazzled dress, giving a standout performance of Olivia Rodrigo’s “Vampire.”
As Rita praised Goldfish’s incredible voice, the stage was set for another exciting season of surprises and talents on the show.
Season 11 kicked off with a bang as Rita, a fresh face on the panel, wowed the audience by belting out The Who’s classic hit “Who Are You.” Not content with just her vocal chops, Rita added a touch of mystery by performing in a face mask before finally unveiling her true identity to the crowd.
The goldfish made quite the statement with its unique style, rocking a bright pink mohawk and a sparkly pink dress as it entered the competition.
She provided hints that consisted of a collection of hearts in a jar and a delicate glass slipper.
Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Rita all rose to their feet and gave a round of applause.
During the season premiere, Jenny showcased a face mask that belonged to one of the contestants. Nick commented that “Goldfish really gave it their all on stage.” The Men In Black crew revealed a framed gold record as a clue for Goldfish, who then mentioned that gold is their lucky color. Rita guessed that Goldfish might be Lea Michele, while Jenny thought they could be Selena Gomez. Ken made a bold guess that Goldfish was Carly Rae Jepsen, jokingly saying, “Call me maybe? Call me correct!”
Next up was Starfish, a charming blue sea star dressed in a snorkel and bathing suit. She dropped hints like a four-leaf clover and a doll before belting out Madonna’s classic, “Material Girl.” Impressed, Nick exclaimed, “Now that’s what I call a star!” A clue in the form of a clock with the number 50 billion was presented for the audience to ponder over.
Next up was Starfish, sporting a snazzy snorkel and swimsuit, ready to make a splash on the stage.
She performed Madonna’s popular song Material Girl.
“Would you look at that superstar!” exclaimed Nick.
“Can you believe I’ve been watched for over 50 billion minutes in just one year?” boasted Starfish.
Rita pondered whether Starfish could be Catherine O’Hara from one of her beloved shows.
“It’s a possibility,” Starfish responded.
Robin adamantly believed Starfish was Cheri Oteri from Saturday Night Live, while Jenny thought she might be Molly Shannon.
“I have to say, this has got to be the funniest outfit we’ve ever seen,” Ken remarked.
“She’s so hilarious, she makes me crack up so much my Botox struggles,” Jenny added.
Ugly Sweater, resembling a rainbow-colored troll, rolled in on a yarn cart. He dropped hints including a rabbit and a blue note record, vowing to take home the win.
Ugly Sweater then belted out Tina Turner’s classic hit “The Best,” with confetti showering the stage as he concluded.
“Wow, now that is a true rockstar!” Rita gushed. “Absolutely iconic!”

Ugly Sweater stole the show with his rendition of Tina Turner’s hit “The Best,” earning a shower of confetti on stage as he finished. Jenny declared him an icon in the making.
During the guessing game, Ugly Sweater hinted his collaboration with big stars by using the clue “featuring.” He confidently stated, “Ugly Sweater is always in fashion, which is why the top stars want to collaborate with me.”
The panelists threw out guesses, with Robin suggesting Charlie Wilson, Ken proposing Nile Rodgers, and Rita mentioning Verdine White. Rita even humorously noted that she owned a similar ugly sweater but didn’t find it ugly at all.
Next up was Lovebird, dressed in a massive green bird costume, who revealed clues suggesting he was a romantic at heart. He expressed his joy at finally appearing on the show and belted out Phillip Phillips’ “Home” as the audience sang along. Rita expressed her excitement to see him perform.

The last performer to grace the stage on the season premiere of the show was Book. Lovebird, one of the contestants, professed their love for everyone, with a special shoutout to Ken. Robin jokingly commented that Lovebird must not actually know Ken. Lovebird’s clue was a television with the words ‘leading man’ on it. They confidently stated that while they may be a great Lovebird, they excel even more as a leading man.
Ken guessed that the mystery celebrity behind the mask might be Travis Kelce, while Rita’s bet was on Odell Beckham Jr. Fans can catch the next episode of The Masked Singer airing next Wednesday on Fox.
