LeBron James and his marketing team came up with a movie concept in 2009, but production was postponed after the Heat didn’t win the championship in 2011. Now, filming is set to resume next summer, and actor and NBA enthusiast Kevin Hart is also on board for the project.
LeBron James is gearing up for his first feature film project, “Ballers,” with comedian Kevin Hart joining him in the cast. Despite their height difference, Hart is a huge star in his own right with successful movies like “Think Like a Man” and “Ride Along.” In “Ballers,” Hart will play the role of LeBron’s brother, who gets a chance to shine at a fantasy basketball camp in Miami.
With two NBA titles under his belt and a strong chance to win another with the Heat, James is also looking to expand his presence beyond the basketball court. He is working on a sitcom and has his sights set on starring in “Space Jam 2.” James’ manager, Maverick Carter, is involved in producing the film, marking a significant step for LRMR in elevating the brand of one of the most dominant basketball players in the world.
