The singer, who is currently enjoying the success of her latest project, shared moments from the whirlwind trip as they marked their special day on Thursday, February 22. Lopez, 54, co-parents Max and Emme with her ex-husband, Latin star Marc Anthony, whom she was married to from 2004 to 2014. Taking to social media, Lopez referred to her kids as her ‘coconuts’ and shared glimpses from their fun-filled birthday trip in 2024. Noticeably absent from the trip were Lopez’s husband Ben Affleck and her three stepchildren, as it seemed to be a special outing only for Lopez, Emme, Max, and a few of their friends in Tokyo.

In a video clip posted by Jennifer, we see the family starting their journey at the airport, with Emme, who prefers they/them pronouns, expressing their excitement to their mom. The montage captures the fun-filled activities the birthday crew indulged in during the week.
Emme had a fantastic time cuddling tiny pigs at the popular mipig cafe Meguro in Tokyo, while their brother and his friends savored Japanese sushi. The family experienced a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, with Jennifer looking stunning in an aqua blue kimono.
They explored a psychedelic Tokyo art museum, posing for pictures in front of glowing orbs. Jennifer particularly enjoyed a 3D installation that gave the illusion of being inside a kaleidoscope. She also shared various photos from their adventures, including a lovely group shot with Max and Emme.
To mark the twins’ 16th birthday, they were presented with large silver balloons that adorned their dinner table. Jennifer unveiled their custom birthday cake, cleverly crafted from two different cakes connected by a bridge.
